Gauze Work – Wave

The series "Wave" by the artist Jinran Kim shows mystical, deserted landscapes made of gauze and ashes. The landscapes in black and white appear very tangible through the plastic modelling with gauze and invite the viewer to dive into this winterly, icy world. A closer look reveals that the motifs are composed of individual threads of gauze. A sensitive and fine material used to dress wounds and support their healing process. It is used here by the artist to create new worlds.
